Pomegranate jelly is great with Irish soda bread....Here's the recipe. Remove from mixing bowl and knead on a dry floury surface such as a cutting board ... Pound into a round shape,and transfer to a flat,greased pan,making a cross on the top with the wrong edge of a knife. Bake for about 10 minutes in a very hot oven (450° F) Then lower heat to 375° F and bake for a half hour to 45 minutes longer. If using whole milk, substitute baking powder for baking soda. Try that with your pomegranate jelly!!! Or better yet,do as the Irish do,and spread salted butter and top with smoked salmon and capers with a drop of lemon. UNbelievably delicious....
