Yeah, yeah. I know we’ve only been publishing for 8 weeks (okay, maybe 11) but it feels longer. You have no idea how many food holidays there actually are between October and January 1 (that includes Halloween, Hanukah, any Sunday brunch, and New Year’s Day), so it feels as if we’ve been publishing for a really long time.
But it’s also because it feels like we have a much larger community than we have any right to have, since we’ve been around as short a time as we have and I’d like to thank everyone who’s been a part of it for their contributions, kindness and support. And even though we’ve only been around for a millisecond, (or two milliseconds, anyway), I’d love to take a look back at some of our favorites from 2007 and, also, wish that everyone in 2008 would sometimes, not all the time, but sometimes order “one for the table” and that means not just onion rings but creamed spinach, crab cakes, molten chocolate cake, fresh berries with cream, and in my family spaghetti with meat sauce!
Happy New Year!
